Helkatti Cat Cafe

I really needed some 'cat therapy' today, so I visited this cat cafe. All the cats look very healthy and cheerful. Most importantly, the place is completely odorless—which is a huge plus for any pet cafe! They even provide cat treats for free so you can interact with the kitties. I highly recommend booking a table in advance, as walk-ins are never guaranteed. Such a great experience!

A quiet retreat off the bustling street of Helsinki for a quick break. 5 min walk from the Kamppi metro. Cats were not shy and looked very healthy. Food was average compared to other eateries in the area but this place focuses on cats before food so undertandable. Only issue I had was this place not being wheelchair friend.

Wonderful cat cafe! The entrance fee of €6 (waived if you get food I think) was totally worth it because it’s all about the cats! They were all friendly and you could tell that the cats loved each other too. I’m a cat-spert to I knew how to lure them with the toys and play with them in the many trees and sky paths. I want to go back already! We didn’t realize there were treats to give.

The cats were super cute (although all of them were sleepy, but aren't we all?). Good coffee and nice chocolate cake. One star down for the number of people; this place runs over its capacity, in my opinion. Also, we waited for the coffee and cake for around 30 minutes, which I consider long.

If you love Cats and want to relax i highly reccomend cat caffè. Relaxing and a homely feeling. The kitties are beautifull ❤️

Unfortunately, our visit to this café was quite disappointing. The staff were rather rude from the start, and small details that should have been simple were completely overlooked. The sugar in the bowl was clumped at the bottom, and we had to ask for napkins. The fridge-cold cheese platter came without a knife, and we even had to request forks—were we supposed to eat with our hands? There were no smiles, not even a simple “enjoy your meal” when the food was served — and certainly no apologies for the forgotten cutlery or napkins. As this is a cat café, I was also hoping for at least some interaction with the cats. On my previous visit, there were plenty of toys, and the staff even gave us a few treats to offer the cats. This time, however, I only saw one toy wand for all customers to share, and it was constantly in use by someone else. The thought of the unfriendly staff doing anything to help guests engage with the cats didn’t even cross my mind. It felt like the cats were just background decoration rather than the heart of the café. The food and drinks were overpriced considering the quality, level of service, and overall surroundings. And that €6 reservation fee per person — absolutely ridiculous! Luckily, I had the lovely company of my wonderful friends — at least there was something good about this experience.
